Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a qualified English teacher?
Yes.  I completed my teacher training with International House in London and hold a CELTA qualification.

Do you speak any languages other than English?
Yes.  I also speak French and German, which gives me a personal understanding of the challenges involved in learning a foreign language.

How would you describe your teaching style?
I tailor my teaching approach to the individual needs, goals, and learning style of each student.  My lessons are practical, supportive, and focused on helping students communicate more confidently and accurately.  During each lesson, I listen carefully, make notes, and provide constructive feedback on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and sentence structure.

How can I book a lesson?
Simply click on the “Book a Lesson” tab, select a date and time that suits you, and complete your payment using PayPal or a credit card.

Can I book a 30-minute lesson instead of a full hour?
Yes.  Thirty-minute lessons are available and are charged at half the price of a one-hour lesson.

I can’t find a lesson time that fits my schedule.  Can I request a different time?
Absolutely.  Just click on the “Contact Me” tab and let me know your preferred availability.  I will do my best to accommodate your request.

Can I book a trial lesson?
Yes.  Trial lessons are free of charge and last for 30 minutes.  To arrange a trial lesson, simply contact me via the “Contact Me” tab.

What happens if I need to cancel a lesson?
If you need to cancel, you can either reschedule your lesson for another date or request a full refund.

What software do you use for online lessons?
I conduct lessons using Teams, Zoom or Skype, depending on your preference.
