Hello, my name is Trevor. I teach English as a foreign language because I’ve always been fascinated by different cultures from around the world. In fact, having the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people on a daily basis is something that makes my job both interesting and fun. I’ve spent most of my life living in the UK, but I’ve also lived in France, Germany and Kenya, so I can understand the challenges that people face when learning another language.
Before training to become a teacher, I would often teach English to fellow students and work colleagues on an informal basis. However, it was only after obtaining my CELTA teaching certificate with Cambridge University that I began to use professional teaching techniques. I now have enough students to be able to work full-time as an English teacher – I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
